Flashback to 2018!

Dundee Vegan Festival 2018 at Abertay Student Centre saw 1400 visitors attend our third annual event.

Charity of the year

We chose to support Dundee Foodbank and were able to help them collect 202.8kg of food, which will feed 20 individuals or 13 couples or 10 families with a three-day emergency food parcel. Additionally, we collected £707.14 in donations!

We were delighted to host 36 stalls last year, with a variety of Hot food, takeaway Food, Pet care, health and beauty, charity, education, domestic, gifts and household products.

The festival is a place for vegans and vegan-curious people to come and see what the vegan lifestyle has to offer and how veganism plays a significant and necessary role in positive social and ecological change.
Whilst the lifestyle aspect of the festival is fun and full of treats, Dundee Vegan Festival is also a place to come and find out about why veganism and animal rights are important. Not only that but we also provide a place for community development. Our speakers from 2018 did not fail to deliver on that!

We endeavor to ensure that our events are accessible, representative and inclusive. Last year we were pleased to invite a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter for our speakers, and we will continue to provide this service this year. We carefully select our venue to ensure access for all physical abilities, toilet facilities are gender-neutral with sanitary products provided on a ‘take what you need’ basis, we have quiet zones and child play areas to allow everyone to enjoy the festival in an environment that best suits their needs. If you have any needs that you think we need to know about if you’re coming in April 2020, please contact us so we can work with you to make any arrangements.
