We’ve been watching as things unfold around Covid-19. In light of the large events ban put in place by Nicola Sturgeon, and in consideration of the health and well being of our attendees, stallholders, speakers and volunteers, as well as those they will interact with, we have decided to cancel the festival.
This decision isn’t made lightly but people’s safety is paramount. We also anticipate stallholders to start cancelling and ultimately low attendance on the day due to Covid-19. As a committee, we will continue to talk about the next steps and where to go from here – perhaps bringing about an online event.
As the situation with Covid-19 is an unfolding pandemic, one without any end date in sight, the festival will be cancelled rather than postponed.
We will be offering full refunds where possible, we are a non-profit event so our coffers are always tight. Any money leftover from this year’s fundraising will still be going to the Grampian Hunt Sabs and Dundee Foodbank as their work is really important.
Finally, thank you to everyone that supported us on the run-up to the event. It’s been a lot of work and we’re really disappointed to have to make this decision but we know it’s the sensible and correct thing to do.
